Xenophon Therapeutic Riding Center is a non-profit 501(c)3 registered charity, offering both Therapeutic Riding and Pediatric Therapy Services, located in Orinda, CA. We're seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Feeder & Stall Cleaner to help provide daily care for the horses and maintain a clean, safe barn environment.
Schedule: Friday, Saturday & Sunday Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week Pay: $16.90 per hour
Overview
Xenophon Therapeutic Riding Center is seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Feeder & Stall Cleaner to help provide daily care for the horses and maintain a clean, safe barn environment.
Responsibilities
Complete AM, noon, and PM feeding according to established feeding schedules and individual horse needs.
Feed hay and grain as directed.
Feed supplements and medications as instructed
Muck and clean stalls.
Muck and maintain pastures and turnout areas.
Clean and refill water buckets and troughs.
Rake and sweep the barn and surrounding areas.
Keep feeding and work areas clean and organized.
Observe horses during daily chores and report any concerns, injuries, or unusual behavior to the Barn Manager.
Follow established feeding, horse-care, and safety procedures.
Assist with other general barn duties as needed.
Qualifications
Previous horse and/or barn experience preferred.
Dependable, punctual, and responsible.
Comfortable working around horses.
Able to follow feeding and care instructions accurately.
Able to perform physical barn work, including lifting hay and feed, shoveling, raking, bending, and standing/walking for extended periods.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Schedule & Compensation
This is a part-time position of approximately 20 hours per week, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Pay: $16.90 per hour
