Lovely Black AQHA Gelding for Lease in West Marin

Sponsorship, or half lease opportunity (2 days per week)  with my lovely AQHA gelding in West Marin.

He is a beautiful horse, 15.1, 20 years old, and in excellent condition. He is true black with a small blaze, and a sweet, sensitive demeanor. He is one of those rare horses that is happy and well balanced on trail or in the arena. He’s been in training with a wonderful trainer with a focus on natural horsemanship (ie. Non-force) training methods, who is versed in dressage.

Kind-hearted, and sensitive with a good mind. He's a smart horse, happiest when he is learning something new and doing a great job of it.

At his ranch in West Marin, there are three arenas, one covered, one dressage, one large one for jumping, and a round pen. He is not suitable for jumping.

He is known at the ranch for being calm and a great influence to other horses on the trail, so you would not have difficulty finding trail partners. He lives in a small pasture (with shelters) with five other horses.

He has custom fit tack, (a high quality Sommer hybrid endurance saddle from Germany) and a good bridle.

We have access at the ranch to spectacular trails, and many at our ranch go out for rides in small groups.

Essential is a kind, horse-experienced person, and a soft, sensitive hand, who is seeking a twice weekly commitment.

Must take at least  initial lessons with his trainer so we’re all on the same page, training wise. He has no major behavioral issues, but we are working to keep him in a balanced frame, and in supple condition.
