Small dressage/event horse for partial lease

Offering a partial lease (2-4 days/week) on a 13 year-old, 14.1-hand Haflinger gelding. Don't let his adorable pony looks fool you -- Niko is a very sensitive and athletic ride with a soft mouth and smooth gaits.

Racking up ribbons in eventing at Advanced Beginner level (ready for Novice) and about to debut in dressage at 2nd level (schooling 3rd level). Not a beginner horse or a child's pony but for an experienced small adult or a teen with a calm attitude and soft hands, he is a fun and rewarding ride. Easy to catch, affectionate and personable. For a small horse, he fills up your leg. (Rider in pictures is 5'3".) He's also a blast on the trails -- he'll go when you ask, and then come right back to you. Rides well in company or alone. Will need to stay at his current home northeast of Petaluma. Property has trails and fabulous views, two outdoor sand arenas, jumps, and round pen. Friendly and unpretentious barn with top-notch instruction available in classical dressage, jumping, working equitation, and more. (Lessor will need to take weekly lessons.)
