Gray, 15 yr old, Percheron gelding. 16.1 hands - perfect size for anyone to ride! Barefoot & sound with no maintenance. SMOOTH and safe for any level rider in the arena and on the trail. No vices. He is not spooky or buddy sour. Good with other horses. Will ride out alone or politely in a group.

Sampson is mellow and steady, while still being responsive and soft to the aids. His pace is adjustable and he has an excellent ground-covering stride to keep up with the other horses on the trail.

He is thick! About as wide as he is tall. He has accumulated 3 years of professional training (1 yr trails, 1 yr natural horsemanship, 1 yr Western Dressage). He is currently in my program and ready to go anywherere with you!

Sampson is absolutley lovely at the walk and trot. He will canter if you ask for it. Due to being a true heavy draft horse, he is not particularly talented at holding the canter. This is typical for drafts, and really a great safety net feature if you want to make sure your husband or beginner riders stay safe.

Sampson is an easy keeper and just as sweet as he is stunning. He is a friendly face in the barn, will nicker at you. Loves to be pampered. He stands tied quietly (hard tie or cross tie). Impeccable ground manners. He is extremely gentle & cautious around people! Truly a gentle giant. A pleasure to have in my barn & will be missed when he leaves.
