Retirement boarding in the Sierra Foothills

We are a retired horse facility with fulltime care to horses in need of quiet relaxation and/or special needs.

Two boarding choices available:

1) Stall with paddock and daily turn out. The stalls with paddocks are large with one being perfect for a draft or 2 companion horses (16x12') Another smaller stall is available if needed for a donkey, minis or goats (8x14'). Two standard sized stalls are available (12x14'). Shavings for stalls are included. $400-450 per mo.

2) Pasture with run-in shed. Three very large pastures which can easily take two or more horses. $300-350 per mo.

All board includes:

• hay of choice and amount needed
• Fly masking, sheet and blanketing and removal daily
• turnout or hand walking
• daily cleaning of stalls and sheds
• graining
• fly control
• light grooming
• minor to moderate wound treatment

Not included in board but available for a fee:

• Hoof care by a certified Farrier on premises
• Emergency transportation to Pioneer Vet Hospital (currently there are no mobile vets in our county)
• bi-annual preventative care vet clinic (vaccines, deworming, teeth floats, sheath cleaning, etc)

There are many specifications to each horse's needs to be factored in and we will do our very best to accommodate each horse owner to keep their horse happy.

Red Cove Ranch is located in Jamestown, Ca. near Lake Don Pedro in the Sierra foothills. We are a small ranch privately owned, operated and resided by Juli Jaworski (a registered veterinary technician) and Dave Miller (horse shoer).
