Neuroscientist Dr. Steve Peters
Northern California welcomes equine neuroscientist and passionate horseman Dr. Steve Peters presenting the “Horse Brain Science Seminar” April 25-27 at the Highland Spring Equestrian Center, Kelseyville, CA, laying out the science of how the horse thinks and why he reacts the way he does.
Dr. Peters is a renowned expert on how horses’ brains learn and process information. By explaining the horse’s brain neurochemistry and how it functions, Dr. Peter will teach how to help horses reset their nervous system, self-regulate their behavior, and deepen their relationship with humans who create an environment built on trust and safety.
Today, advanced equine brain research has given horse people the gift to envision the horse’s frame of mind to use communication instead of force to engage in best training practices.
The popular seminar, previously sold out, is available for $400 for the three days, with a $50 discount for purchases through March 30. For more information, call the Highland Springs Equestrian Center at 707-484-6615 or contact event organizer Laura Ponter at [email protected].

So much practical knowledge that helps with being a better partner for your horse and shaping your horse into a willing partner, too. It rocked my world and it completely changed my methods and understanding of my horses.
