Boots and Bling is an annual event for the supporters of All About Equine Animal Rescue. It is a fun evening with a silent auction, a live dessert auction, dinner and dancing. A special presentation about the years progress will be given along with any special recognitions and awards.
All About Equine Animal Rescue, Inc. (AAE). AAE is a volunteer-based organization that serves horses-in-need, farm animals, and the community. (Horses refers collectively to all equine, wild and domestic: horses, mustangs, donkeys, burros, mules, ponies, minis, etc.). AAE’s robust volunteer program includes approximately 125 unique youth, adult, and senior volunteers that participate each month to provide care of the horses and support other areas of operations. AAE typically cares for 50-60 horses at any given time. Horses typically come to AAE via law enforcement intervention, individual/family health and/or financial crises, owner’s death, or military deployment, as well as through collaborative efforts with other organizations. Horses typically come malnourished and otherwise neglected (e.g. lack of hoof and dental care, lack of adequate shelter, lack of basic care), some truly fighting for life. AAE typically takes in the most difficult cases; horses other organizations are unwilling or unable to accept. Many of the horses have no other options. Horses are rehabilitated and good health is restored whenever possible. There is ongoing learning, relearning and training during recovery. Once animals are in good health and ready to find their new family, they are available for adoption. While at AAE, some of the horses participate in programs serving the community.
AAE recently acquired it’s own land, and relocated operations in 2022, once infrastructure was added. AAE educates our volunteers on proper care and nutrition of horses, basic handling, veterinary issues, rehabilitation, long-term planning for horse owners, and other issues encountered during horse ownership. Additionally, AAE educates the community about the plight of horses via its outreach program. AAE is working towards reinstating our equine-based educational and experiential programs for the community including programs for underserved populations (e.g. at-risk youth, Veterans, seniors, and more). AAE also supports local law enforcement with dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens when their capacities are over extended.
