Junior has successfully competed through the Novice level, including two ribbons at the Beginner Novice level. He is schooling Training and has the scope for it. He is light in the bridle and has more go than woah. He’s a careful jumper who hates to knock a rail and usually only does so due to rider error.

Like most Arabians, Junior can be wary of his surroundings. He gets confidence from his rider and requires a patient, sensitive, confident, & soft person. He looks more at what’s outside the arena than what’s in it and tends to relax in the ring. He handles show atmospheres wonderfully and is the same off and on property. Goes out alone or in groups, prefers to follow if in groups.

When he’s not Eventing, Junior is a seasoned trail horse. He’s been to the beach, ridden in the heart of our local towns on city roads, opens and closes gates, goes through water, etc. Doesn’t mind traffic, congestion, or anything else, though he does have the occasional look at things. Does better out on trail in a group when following, but he will lead when asked.

Requires a rider who’s patient and understanding. He does not respond well to force or anger. If you plan to continue his Eventing training – which he’ll love – he needs to be in a program with a good trainer.

Junior does best in 4-5 days per week of work. He has a good work ethic. He lives in a pasture but stables in a stall at shows and doesn’t mind; that said, he would prefer a live-out situation at home, at least with daily turnout.

• Has never balked at a big jump
• Light in the bridle, nice mover
• Good brain, learns quickly and is eager to please
• In-your-pocket personality, bonds strongly with his person
• Experienced trail horse and could do well at it full-time
• Stands for farrier, takes injections well, bathes, loads into any trailer perfectly
• Barefoot, low-to-no maintenance

Asking low 5s. Five-star home where Junior will do well, be taken excellent care of, and make someone happy is a must.

Currently in-program with Megan McIver / McIver Equestrian where he’s done very well with an amateur rider.
